Earth First! is a non-hierarchical network of autonomous groups and individuals committed to radical ecology, direct action, and aims for the liberation of the planet and its people from its destroyers - capital, state and its cohorts.
The Philippine-based Earth First! activists consists of various folks who want to protect local biodiversity and ecosystems. We are a mix of students, outdoor recreation addicts, mountain climbers, hermits, teachers, parents, bike activists, religious workers, musicians, organic farmers, artists, and computer programmers. Some of us are 'young' and others 'old', and often we differ on tactics, strategy and even philosophy. Some of us call themselves Earth First!ers, some don't. But we are all bound together by our love and respect for the Earth that we all share, and by a commitment to eradicate all forms of oppression and exploitation of any living being.
From the mountains of Mindanao to the forests of the Sierra Madre and the urban warzone of Metro Manila, the committed activists of Earth First! Philippines are engaged in a creative (at times destructive to the despoilers), no-compromise effort to defend our bioregion.
Together, we aim to stop the corporate loggers from wasting more of the forests of the Philippines, directly confront Monsanto's genetically engineered abominations, and severely damage the reputation (and drain the resources) of the fastfood industry due to its ecologically destructive nature. Our vision is to finally end corporate rule and live as part of an ecological society, through global solidarity with like-minded activists everywhere.

Project Primer
Earth First! Manila is coming up with a print ready version of the EF! Primer contextualized for organizing collectives and action groups based in the Philippines. The project will release both English and Tagalog versions. The target of the primer would be activists and would be activists based in campus or in the community.
Volunteers are welcome in the distribution and reproduction of the primer. The collective is also brainstorming regarding primers released in other local languages like Cebuano. For inquiries and other concerns, contact EF! Manila through email.
